FICTION / BUBBLES UPDATE
Ive grown to like gothic literature through (only) Edgar Allen Poe. I love his language and style. So far Ive read The Black Cat & Fall of House of Usher. My brain has sort of deflated from trying to find meaning in all the works of these dead writers for the last couple of weeks. But reading Poe sort of jump-started why I liked to read in the first place: I like being amused with a story. I was also reading The Bluest Eye (Toni Morrison) and Carrie (Stephen King) within the last two weeks also but found I gave up a quarter of the way for those two because I just didnt care to answer "Why?" anymore. I do want to finish the story though, but when I can sit down and enjoy it without having to delve further than the next page.

Bubbles the hamster is getting better, by the way. We put him on some medicine and saw a vet. The vet said to feed him yogurt and put hydrocortisone creme on the infected area. My boyfriend and I (co-owners of the little fella) are pleased to inform you that Bubbles has solid poo again. But his balls haven't come back yet.
